Dr. Joe MacInnis

Joe MacInnis is a medical doctor, author and storyteller who’s pioneering research on undersea science and engineering projects earned him his nation’s highest honour—the Order of Canada. He currently studies leadership in high risk environments and gives leadership presentations in North America and Europe. His audiences have included Microsoft, IBM, National Geographic, Rolex, Visa, Toyota and the U.S. Naval Academy.

Dr. MacInnis led ten research expeditions under the Arctic Ocean. He was the first person to explore the near-freezing waters beneath the North Pole and among the first to dive to the Titanic. Recently, he was a medical advisor and journalist on the James Cameron-National Geographic seven-mile, science dive into the Mariana Trench.

Dr. MacInnis has worked with the U.S. Navy, the Canadian Forces and the Russian Academy of Sciences. He has written ten books. His latest, Deep Leadership: Essential Insights from High Risk Environments, was published by Random House. Currently, he’s producing a multimedia project, CARRY THE FIRE, to inspire enterprise, optimism and leadership in young people.

This show is internationally renowned among the convention world. The musical abilities and entertaining performances boasted in this unique performance have wowed thousands for more than 15 years now. The featured musicians are all multi instrumentalists and will delight you with their highly creative versions of popular songs.

This one hour act has been produced in cities such as Las Vegas, New York, Cancùn, Paris and the Bahamas for the likes of Toyota, Bombardier, GE, etc. This interactive performance is directed by, and features the genuinely entertaining Patrice Painchaud (french for Hotbread).

Patrice entered the Music Conservatory of Quebec at the age of 3, was solo violinist with the Quebec Symphonic Orchestra at the age of 6 and won a provincial piano contest at age 14. Within this group, there is also a Grammy Awards nominee, a Juno Awards nominee, and all of them have participated in numerous International Festivals.
