Do you believe incentives are important? Please explain why or why not:
Producers whom produce regularly will always work at doing so with or without incentives. Most of the time providing incentives or running a conference contest, 99 % are those whom have qualify previously.
This is a kind of reason to push them for more new business and lots of them would like to be in the leading position for sales. This really works.
motivation for brokers
competition is good
They help promote appropriate behaviours and solidify relationships.
Just reward good overall production.
Sales People need recognition outside of compensation.
Enhance sales
This gives the brokers an opportunity to meet and greet from others nationally. It is a form of networking and recognition amongst their peers which is very important to the independent advisors. In addition they get to learn a lot from the carrier that puts on the campaign.
Recognition in our field of work is sparse. At the end of the day, we do sell a product and good salesman are motivated by incentives. The exchange between participants in those incentives are key to loyalty and advisor development. With a needs analysis practice and good intended campaigns, conflict of interest is practically non existant.

Incentives are helpful to encourage and motivate independent practitioners to perform, periodically review their annual goals, set and achieve their sales and service targets year over year. Rewarding top sales performers for achieving targets is customary in business as it is with any sales/service team.
Provided incentives are disclosed and the advisor’s recommendation &/or product is in keeping with the client’s personal circumstances and is an appropriate sale.
Brokers like to have goals that are attainable. Bringing home a gift card to their family allows them to share in their success. When the campaigns are equal among companies or concept based there is no conflict of interest.
As recognition for holistic solutions but not geared to a special product or company
It re-ignites advisors, it helps them to focus on growing their businesses.
