Renée Laflamme is Executive Vice-President, Individual Insurance, Savings and Retirement at iA Financial Group. She manages this sector’s operations and activities across Canada. She is responsible for the growth strategy for the individual Insurance, savings and retirement, as well as all distribution, underwriting, product development, marketing and administration activities. She is also responsible for leading the operations of PPI Management, and is a member of the company's executive committee.

Renée Laflamme has a Bachelor of Administration from Laval University and is a chartered accountant and chartered financial analyst. In 2017, she was awarded the title of Fellow CPA. In 2022 and again in 2024, Ms. Laflamme won the Finance et Investissement Top Leader Award for Quebec in the “Leaders/Executives in the Financial Industry” category. In 2023, Renée was named one of the Top 100 Most Powerful Women in Canada by the Women's Executive Network (WXN) in the “Executive Leaders” category. She also supports a number of philanthropic organizations, including Centraide Québec-Chaudière-Appalaches, where she has been a member of the major donations committee for several years.

Ms. Laflamme joined iA Financial Group in 1998, after ten years with a large accounting firm. In 2004, she became Vice-President of Mortgage Loans and in 2010, Vice-President of Group Savings and Retirement. In 2015, she was promoted to the Strategic Planning Committee and to the role of Executive Vice-President, Group Benefits and Retirement Solutions. Since February 2018, she has assumed responsibility over the Canadian activities and operations of the Individual insurance and Savings and Retirement sector.

Michel holds a degree in business administration and has been with Desjardins Group since 1996.Over the years, Michel has occupied various management positions, mainly in operations in claims and sales. He's overseen the development of business units in a range of environments, including client relation centres, claims operations and the caisse network.

In 2016, Michel took the opportunity to build on his vast experience by becoming the head of a major Canada-wide operational group as Vice-President, Claims. His responsibilities included sound claims management, operational performance and client experience. What's more, he supervised the transformation of bodily injury operations outside Quebec, the simplification of home and auto processes as well as the digital shift in Claims.

In the spring of 2023, Michel took on a new challenge as Vice-President, Individual Insurance in the Wealth Management and Life and Health Insurance Executive Division. He is known within Desjardins for his diligence and unifying, people-focused leadership that delivers concrete action and results.
